Ed and Marti's House Building Project
Wasche Road, Dickerson, Maryland
March 2001 to June 2004

Our good friend and ex-Verizon installer, Tim Carmell, helps out by installing the telephone and data jacks around the house.

Amy is always helpful.

Ed and Dennis or rather Dennis and Ed install the kitchen cabinets.

Great minds think alike here.  Who knows what the problem was......

And critical cuts get made to very expensive pieces of stair-rail.... no mistakes allowed.

Marti painted the entire house two coats.  We had the primer and ceilings sprayed but this is still alot of painting.  Roy holds the ladder while she cuts in the ceiling for the first and (she says firmly) the last time ever.

More acrobatics for Marti....

As you can see, she enjoys awkward places on high ladders.....it is 18 feet to the top of the wall in the foyer.

Kevin operates the trencher to put in the gutter drainpipes...

This is a landmark day!  Russell of Dale Kerns crew sets the toilets and now we are peeing indoors!!  Hooray and....

Good Riddance to the porta-potty!

This is the powder room ready to go....

Johnsons Hydroseeding blew seed, fertilizer and mulch all over our dirt and two days later a huge rainstorm puddled the whole job...

Our big room ready for trimming and almost ready to move in... Stair-rails need to be set but I got them done before long.  Next time I will hire a pro to do that job!

The kitchen countertop gets set-in and I placed the cooktop the next day.  On Friday May 7th, we had our final inspection for occupancy and we were just ready.  We passed with a short to-do list from the inspector and then.....on Monday, May 10th, on schedule.....

Finally its Moving Day!!!!
