Pinhole film, Archival Pigment
The negative was made with the modified Korona 8x10 camera on TMAX 100 film. The exposure was 90 seconds at F284 with a yellow filter. I scanned the negative and used Photoshop to adjust tone and contrast.
The canoe and boats at Swain’s Lock on the C&O Canal were arranged in a radiating pattern that I found interesting.. I placed the camera a few feet from the front kayak. It was Noon and the area was both bright and heavily shaded. A sudden last second breeze caused blurring of some trees while the canoes somehow stayed sharp. The Swain’s 69 image in this portfolio is directly behind the camera position of this image.
